Chinese New Year

How does the Chinese zodiac sign work?生肖
There are 12 animals in the Chinese zodiac calendar that are associated with the rotation of the 5 elements of Chinese cosmology, making the cycle renew every 60 years. Unlike the Gregorian Gregorian calendar, the Chinese calendar depends on the phases of the moon, not the sun, so the New Year falls on a date other than January 1.
